Grandpa John's Woodcraft
This new Cunningham Custom Shop Woodcraft was proudly made in honor of my late Grandfather, John Manley. His old Marbles was bequest to me by Grandma Manley and it's been a truly prized possession since, even used on a few hunts in his old stomping grounds in Montanas' Big Hole Valley. I was inspired to replicate this iconic blade design from the early 1900's and treat the handle with some of my own personal inspirations. Could not be happier!! Blade is forged to shape on my Little Giant power hammer from 52100 round bar and it measures 4 3/4" from tip to guard with a razor sharp convex grind. My 120 heat treat and free hand grinds ensure a lifetime of optimal performance that I promise. The brass guard is soldered in place above black and maroon g10, brass and horsehide leather spacers as well as a big ol chunk of aluminum that I shaped for a little better ergonomics. A brass pin runs through the tang and overall she clocks in at 9 3/8". I'm sending this one to Grey Leather Co. for a custom sheath like the original and the rig will be ready to ship in time for Christmas. Like all others, I guarantee this knife for life and it comes with free shipping and a Cunninghammer zipper case. And no... Grandpa's actual Woodcraft will NOT be included with this purchase! :)
