The larger chef set measures 7 1/4" from tip to guard and the paring comes in at 3 3/4". The copper guards are soldered in place over black g10 and copper spacers as well as beautiful desert ironwood that's pinned through the tang with copper. Overall lengths measure 12 3/8" and 8 3/8" and these are guaranteed to satisfy. Please be advised that carbon steels sharpen with ease, and they will patina with use- this is a natural beauty and something to love, just like your seasoned cast irons.
