Tiffany Blue G10 Damascus Chef
Killing my first deer in 2014 was the prompt needed to get my butt in the kitchen and learn to make a good meal. Since then, I've primarily used one knife for every task and it looks a heck of a lot like this. There are several sizes and shapes in my block, but I've never felt the need to reach for another when a good one is still in my hand. I care about and make mine for lasting sharpness, "rehone-ability", ease on the eyes, and a joy to feel in the hand regardless of cutting strawberries, steaks or what have you in between.
This one measures 6 1/2" from tip to guard with a razor sharp freehand convex grind and a raindrop pattern Damascus blade at just the right thickness for any task (5160 and 15n20 alloys, 416 layer). The Damascus guard is soldered in place over a single blue g10 spacer that joins a Tiffany blue g10 that is pinned through the tang with aluminum. Overall length measures 10 1/2" and it comes in a Cunninghammer zipper case, guaranteed for life with free shipping.
* These blades will patina with use, and must always be handwashed before towel dried *
