William Scagel Tribute Camp Knife
This colossal new Cunningham Custom Shop camp knife is a humble tribute to the great William Scagel (pronounced skay-gull) who forged an iconic legacy of American bladesmithing and craftsmanship from 1873-1963. The blade features 1095 high carbon spring steel and measures a whopping 9 1/2" from tip to guard with a painfully sharp convex grind that bit me a few times through the process. We got a howler folks! The stocky brass guard is soldered in place over a stack of black, maroon, white and gray fiber, copper, aluminum, and horsehide leather spacers that collar a premium sambar stag handle that's pinned through the tang and capped with brass. The overall length measures 14 1/2" and it comes in a handsome custom stitched leather sheath that I am rather proud of. All of my work comes guaranteed for life, the shipping is free, and it comes with a felt lined Cunninghammer zipper case.
